Busy last couple of days

It's been busy the last few days. Getting sewing in and packing for our trip in 5 days. I finished Abby's mug rug all hand quilted and appliquéd. It was a first for me so I learnt a lot by doing it. I got 2 others to do so I will get to practice.

I also did two other projects that there was no pattern for and things I had never done before. A glove box organiser that goes on the outside of the glove box. A drink holder as we never can find one that works for us so we had to make one. This sits at the end of the console and big enough for 2 cokes/waters.

Abby's mug rug.

I had fun yesterday trying to make a mug rug for my grand daughter Abby. She loves My little Pony so i got out one of her colouring books and found a nice pic to applique onto her mug rug. I got her mum to print up her name fonts to add to the rug. I have done raw edge applique and finished the blanket stitch around the pony and her name last night. Now just tring my hand at hand quilting it. Haven't done hand quilting before so yeah see how I go.
